Mafia

Your Mafia host is
one phone

The app deals the roles, runs night and day by the script, keeps speech timers and fouls, resolves the night and the vote, and puts the right music under each phase. The table needs one phone — and no internet at all.

Who it is for

For whoever runs the table

If your host keeps losing the thread of their napkin notes, and a quarter of the game goes to «hold on, who checked whom» — this app is for them.

It does not play for anyone and decides nothing for the table. It remembers who is who, keeps the night order straight, watches the clock on speeches and does the arithmetic — so the group can get on with what it came for: talking, lying and finding their own.

The roles in play:

  • Civilian
  • Mafia
  • Don
  • Sheriff
  • Doctor
  • Butterfly
  • Maniac

The app works out how many blacks to deal on its own — roughly a third of the table — and the caption above tells you how hard the town has it. You can also set the number by hand.

The flow

Nine steps from the deal to the win

The host only taps — the script, the order and the arithmetic are on the app.

  1. Setup

Player count, the set of roles and the names. The rare stuff — a manual number of blacks, «first night into the air», speech timings, vibration and language — sits in a collapsed block of advanced settings and stays out of the way.

  2. The deal

The phone goes round the table. A player holds a finger on the card and sees their role with its portrait; let go and the role is hidden again.

  3. Night introductions

Factions open their eyes in turn, one step at a time. The screen tells the host by name who is supposed to wake up right now, so nobody gets mixed up.

  4. Day introductions

A round of 30-second introductions. Tapping a name opens renaming — and every later screen picks the new name up: speeches, voting, night, log, cheat sheet.

  5. The first night

If the line-up leans towards the blacks, the app offers «the mafia shoots into the air» — a first night with no victim, to even the odds.

  6. Night

The order of steps: butterfly → mafia → don → doctor → sheriff → maniac. On the sheriff's step the host sees every player's alignment and answers instantly; on the don's step the sheriff is marked.

  7. Morning

The app resolves the night: the butterfly cancels its target's action, the doctor saves, and the mafia and maniac shots apply independently. The screen shows who died and with which role.

  8. Day

A round of one-minute speeches, with a short buzz ten seconds before the end. During a speech anyone can be put up for the vote. Fouls live here too: first is a warning, second skips the next speech, third puts the player out.

  9. The vote

Votes on the nominees; a tie is the host's call. Then night again — until the town, the mafia or the maniac wins.

What it looks like

Six screens from one game

A dark interface with large buttons and large numerals: the host reads the screen sideways, in half-light, without stopping the game.

06Cheat sheet: who is who

The screenshots show the Russian interface — Ukrainian (the default) and English are in the app just the same.

What it does

The small things that keep a game moving

Cheat sheet and log

Who is who and what has already happened — at hand at any point in the game, with no scrolling back.

Speech timer

Start, pause, reset and a signal at zero. Speech length and the introduction round are configured separately.

Fouls

Three steps with clear consequences. The buttons are on every speech round, and the table's foul list stays on screen.

Music and cues

Three background tracks (night, day, vote) plus gong, morning, shot and time's-up. All synthesised in code, about 0.8 MB together.

Your own tracks

Any phase can be scored with your own file through the system picker. No storage permission needed, the choice survives a restart, and if the file is gone the built-in track plays.

Three languages

Ukrainian by default, Russian and English alongside. Switched in the game settings; the choice is remembered.

What sets it apart

What the store listing does not show, but the table does

Works with no network

The app has no INTERNET permission. This is not a «we don't collect» promise — it physically has nothing to send anything with.

About 2 MB

That is the whole release. Role portraits are drawn and the music synthesised in code — nothing is downloaded after install.

No ads, no purchases

Not one banner, not one subscription, not one account. Open it and host.

Asks for no access

Not to the camera, the microphone, the contacts or storage. The only permission in the manifest is vibration.

Privacy

What the app knows about you

Nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs, and no way to reach the network at all. The names the host types in for a game stay on the device and go nowhere.

In persistent storage the app keeps only your language choice and your music settings. Uninstall it and nothing is left behind.
